One paw forward
If you’re like me, you probably have a hard time fitting workouts into your busy schedule - and sometimes having a dog can make that harder, not easier!
This week Laurel and I will talk about how owning a dog can impact your social, physical, and emotional health. We share some tips for how you can incorporate your dog into your workout, regardless of his or her personality!
The next time you walk your dog, why not give him a little break at a park bench while you bust out some workout moves? Try these:
Single-leg squats (one leg on the bench, the other on the ground… now SQUAT! Squat, I say!)
Assisted push-ups (hands on the bench, feet on the ground!)
Step-ups or bench hops (Step up on the bench, or even hop onto it, if it feels sturdy enough)
Do a few rounds of those (I’m partial to three sets of 10!) and keep going with your walk. You’ll feel AWESOME when you’re done, and you’ll only have added a few extra minutes to your routine!
